The Carbide Wizard Super Skew Chisel is designed to solve a recurring issue with carbide chisels; almost all carbide chisels are scrapers. While the blade on a scraper maintains a sharp edge, the method of holding the blade causes the edge to drag across the surface, which can promote tool chatter, chipping, and shattering of delicate turning materials. Now you can get all the benefits of a traditional skew with the results of a carbide tipped chisel. With its gentle 2" radius edge and angled blade, It works closer to the slicing action of a traditional skew, lowering the stress on the turning material and the the tool. It slices through your wood or acrylic for smooth, clean cuts, reduces chipping, and provides a surface requiring less sanding. With its super sharp 4-sided replaceable carbide tip (LCWIZSX) and ergonomic handle, this chisel will wiz through wood and acrylic for faster results and eliminate the need for sharpening. The angled blade provides a consistent holding position. The Carbide Wizard Super Skew Chisel also includes a wrench for the tip screw and instructions. Overall length is 13. 5". Blade is 4" long. Replacement tip screw and wrench (LCWIZSY) are available.
