This beautifully-crafted pen made is turned from one of America’s most historic woods. It makes a unique gift for a friend, executive, history buff, or family member. A story of U.S. history is preserved in this handmade treasure. History of the wood: This tulip poplar tree grew off the southwest corner of Thomas Jefferson’s home, Monticello. It was some 200 years old and one of the world’s great trees. The planting was noted in Jefferson’s Weather Memorandum book in 1807. Specifications: Fountain Pen, junior size (5 1/4″x 9/16″), tulip poplar wood, rhodium/22K gold trim, non-postable cap. All pens arrive with a Certificate of Authenticity, detailing the history of the wood, and a complimentary non-historic wood box.
