It prevents the safe from being opened by a master key or electronic combination without your knowledge. Thefts from hotel room safes have been a problem for years. Thousands of worldwide travelers complain on the internet about the unpleasant fact that money or other valuable possessions “mysteriously” disappeared from hotel room safes, cruise line room safes, or guest lockers even from 5 star hotels and resorts.
